What to Wear on a Coffee Date

You’ve been admiring a particular professional (or guy) for a long time now and finally worked up the courage to shoot her an email and meet over coffee, and they surprisingly said yes! Now the panic sets in: what in the world do you wear?

I have the pleasure of meeting many other photographers, bloggers, entrepreneurs, PR girlies, and creatives in my industry. The coffee meeting is now just a party of my weekly routine. If the meeting is more personal than professional, I love to take the opportunity to express who I am with a fun and trendy outfit.

Today I wanted to share with you an outfit I wore to meet an amazing photographer in Austin, Madeline Harper or Madeline Harper Photography. Starting with this slashed-open shoulder sweater. The boxy fit and high side slits create a lot of movement. I paired this sweater with a pair of satin joggers, under $50, my favorite snakeskin booties, and a Dagne Dover mini tote.
