Y’all, there are two things I’m sure about: the guy I’m marrying, and the gals that will be standing next to me. These amazing women are like my sista’s from other mista’s. My besties, my heart. I couldn’t imagine another group of ladies as my “I do crew.”
After Jordan proposed, it wasn’t long before I started thinking, “I got my rock, now I need my flock!” Asking these chicas to be in our wedding was the easy part…but then came time to think about bridesmaids dresses. Guys, we’ve all heard horror stories about bridesmaid dresses from hell—but let me tell you, gowns today have come a long way from the crunchy taffeta creations of the past.
On our shopping journey, we came across some beautiful dresses, but none quite as stunning and perfect as those from Weddington Way. Not only is their selection fabulous, but the entire process was easy and FUN!
News flash: planning a wedding is NUTS, y’all! I wasn’t quite prepared for the gazillion details that go into throwing the wedding of your dreams. But that’s another reason I loved Weddington Way, because they take the stress out of the process. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful—which is a huge plus for this frazzled bride.
We started by looking through some of my inspiration clips on Pinterest, and then the experts pulled dresses they thought fit my intended theme, mood, and style. Since not all of my bridesmaids could be there in person, we were able to create a virtual showroom where my ladies could log on and comment on the 10 or so dresses I had narrowed down (eeeeek! I know, I know…10 is still a lot. But it was HARD, y’all!).
From there, my bridesmaids could visit physical showrooms near where they live to actually try on the few we all liked the most. My ultimate goal is for them to look good AND feel good. And Weddington Way offers so many simple styles that flatter every body type—espeically some of my busty girlfriends (because, c’mon, no one wants to see ya tugging at your “girls” all night!).
One thing I loved about my experience with this brand was the top-notch customer service. Since the dresses run a tad big, we can easily send back for the correct size. I was even able to take fabric swatches home with me to use for matching purposes when meeting with other vendors (flowers, linens, stationary…you name it).
Shopping for bridesmaids dresses was so fun, and let me tell you, my bride tribe is HAWT! Seriously. These ladies are going to look so GORG on my big day. I literally want to host monthly wedding parties just so they can all wear the gowns again (who’s in!?).
You’re probably reading this thinking, So what the HECK did you choose, Dani!? Don’t worry, I’m gonna tell ya…I just like to build up the suspense.
We ended up going with one color—champagne—but in three or four different fabrics and styles, which gives a lot of visual texture and variety. The overall look is soft, feminine, EXACTLY what I was envisioning for my wedding day.
Overall, working with Weddington Way was a dream. And I can’t wait to see my gorgeous friends walk down the aisle ahead of me. I can’t wait for y’all to see on the actual day how everything comes together!!
This post is in partnership with Weddington Way, I am so excited to work with such an amazing company. As always, all opinions and selections here are my own.
